Meet Bryan Sledge aka BJ the Chicago kid ............Pineapple Now & Laters

My new music crush released a new EP yesterday..... Pineapple Now & Later. 

The guy is the BOMB.com . I've got familiar with Bj th Chicago Kid (Bryan Sledge) by listening to Kendrick Lamar. The two has made quite few songs together and I got really curious to know more about him:

Bryan Sledge is a Chicago native singer / writer  who moved to LA to pursue is musical dream. Starting as a backup singer for Mary Mary at the age of 19 he quickly made his name in the industry and now has worked with no other than : Diddy, Mary J , KAnye West , Snoop Dogg, 50 cent , Jamie Foxx, Usher , Anthony Hamilton , J Cole , Toni Braxton , Chris Brown and of course Kendrick Lamar.....fiouu

I instantly fell in love with the guy, soulful , meaningful he is just right on point !

The EP is everything but disappointed, he did a real god job ....available on Itunes (yes good music is not always free, but its still as important to support)

We Will Always Love you Mrs Houston ....... R. I .P

I'm sure everybody is going to remember what they were doing, when the heard about Mrs Whitney Houston Death. The tragic news was spread like a bad disease yesterday between 7-8 pm ET through all social network and gossip websites. We definitively losing a pioneer  an icon and a truth inspiration for a lot of young talent today. 

She left behind her a teenage daughter and a timeless music legacy. 

That woman had a really important spot in my musical life, I would like to  present my sincere condolences to her friends family and also  to all her fans around the world , who I 'm sure feel like they lost one of their family member. That's how powerful music and real talent can be.  

We will always love you .................

The world of music lost a Queen ! Mrs Etta James passed away today January 20th 2012 at the age of 73 years old. 

She left behind her a timeless music Legacy, as well as marks on the Rock & Roll, Grammy and Blues Halls of fame. A controversial artist with talent nowhere to be find nowadays. #soulful. 

The 2008 movie Cadillac Records (one of my favorite movie) give us a chance to witness Miss Etta James in her debut in the music industry with chess records. (her role his played by Beyonce Knowles). She also wrote a book Rage to survive : The Etta James Story where she went trough all the stage of her " turbulent " life. 

She definitely will be missed.

R.I.P. DWIGHT "Heavy D " MYERS

Last week Hip Hop lost a pioneer. The energetic positive inspiring and talented Heavy D was find dead in front of his Beverly Hills' mansion on November 8th at the age of 44.

He is leaving behind him a great music legacy .........

Meet......Sarah MK

So I realize that I was always blogging about people from outside Canada when we actually  have really talented people here. What a shame . 

That's why (and also because she is dope) I'm introducing you to Ms "Sarah Mk " today. 

She is a young ,beautiful and talented artist , member of the Kalmunity collective she released her first EP " Worth It "  last Thursday (November 4th) at O Patro Vys ! Venue was jam packed. It was a beautiful evening great vibe and she blessed us with a little performance! She definitively has what it takes to grow in the music industry. Really comfortable on stage she knows how to play with the crowd and she sure CAN sing. That was an A+ night. 

The EP is quite as good. Not disappointed at all. Great instru, catchy lyrics, and most importantly you feel the PASSION behind it ....

Take some time to at least listen to it ........... "Worth it" (ahah it was an easy one)
